As you may already know, Microsoft is abandoning the Office Live Small Business hosted website program and has created Office 365 in its place. The problem we have is that all of the new links in the website will have "/pages/" in the middle of the URL. So the adjusted web address ends up looking like this: http://yourDomain.com/pages/pageName.aspx. This would not be a problem if I did not rely on existing websites linking back to me. But, as luck would have it, I get the majority of my business from link back referrals. I am afraid that adding "/pages/" will break the links that are directed to specific pages in my website.
I am attaching a link to a discussion that supposedly offers the solution, but I do not understand what they are proposing. The winning bidder should be familiar with Office Live Small Business and the new Office 365 platform. The solution will involve redirecting the traffic from existing link backs that does not contain the "/pages/" in the url to the new web address created by Office 365 that does contain the "/pages/" text in the middle of the url. There are approximately 25-30 pages in the site.
Please read this post to get a better understanding of what is happening to link backs coming to the site:
