| Description: |
I've a problem with jumping to the correct id link position within a page.
Specifically, I have a fixed header div 100px high, I then have two columns below, one is fixed (250px wide), the other is relative (floated right, 350px wide).
I use the fixed left hand column for headlines with links going off to the various news articles within the other right hand floated div.
My issue is that the headline links do not jump to the right place on the page. Although they're contained within their own container, they seem to jump to a position relative to the page (not taking account of the fixed header) and not the required position in the parent container (below the header).
I've tried lots of alternative solutions, and at various times have had it working in FF but not IE, then working in IE but not FF.
But after spending nearly two days on just this on aspect, I just keep going round in circles and feel I have come to a dead end.
I'm therefore looking for a guru to do a quick fix for me.
