GOAL: To build an online website and back office databases that enable the creation and sale of customizable greetings cards to UK and internationally based customers.
BRIEF: This project is to give functionality to a website that allows users to create and modify designs that our client then prints onto greeting cards. We have produced all layouts with graphical and copy assets along with process charts for the site. The business and what it produces are similar to sites such as www.moonpig.com and www.remind4u.com .
The site is likely to use flash to add elements of functionality, such as can be seen on sites such as www.harboarts.com/shirtdesigner/ and www.spreadshirt.com .
Any bidders must be able to provide us with references to other work that they have completed to demonstrate the ability required to complete this project. We are looking for a bidder than can also work on the project on an ongoing basis.
DELIVERABLES:
To build a fully working and functional site that will enable the ultimate customer to choose, customize and purchase single or multiple greetings cards and have them sent to either their own or the recipients addresses. Checkout will be using the Google cart system.
To build appropriate back office databases to enable our clients to manage customers information and site content simply and effectively.
To provide full design notes with all master documents.
SUMMARY OF PROPOSED SITE
SITE GOAL: To create a simple but sophisticated website enabling customers to customize and send greetings cards.
SITE OVERVIEW: The site will be targeted at British residents and expats and those wishing to send greetings cards to British residents or those working / living abroad. It will provide a simple interface enabling customers to choose an appropriate card, add a message, customize design or text and send it either directly to the recipient or boxed and back to themselves (for posting separately). The site will enable uploading of files (i.e. photos, images or signatures) to be inserted into the cards. It will also enable names to be inserted into multiple cards (in a mail merge format). The site should load up swiftly and allow users to move around it seamlessly and quickly.

Site should be mindful of web optimization
Some ability to have basic user admin i.e. search for user, view their details (inc. unique number), disable user, view/change password

File is uploaded to space with ftp access
