We are looking for a screen designer and coder (preferably with OO development background) who is proficient in both XHTML / CSS / Javascript and graphics layout / user interface design. We might also accept a team of two (coder plus screen designer). Strictly no companies!
Create HTML templates with the following characteristics:
- separated layout
(table less layout, all layout aspects in CSS only)
- animated DOM elements / dynamic DOM manipulation
(like moving around some div's)
- separated data sources for page content
(all data is inserted into the page dynamically, for example, you could define a Javascript object which defines the data structure required for a page, and define its state as a separated JS file)
Do not get confused by the "separated data sources": We are looking for plain HTML pages with client-side Javascript manipulation, not for server-side components.
Create the following HTML templates:
1) CD cover flow similar to iPod visualization
2) CD details screen
3) CD playback screen
(the usual playback controls and progress visualization)
4) DVD cover flow
5) DVD details screen
6) DVD playback screen
(the usual playback controls and progress visualization)
For 1) to 3) pick some random samples from MusicBrainz, for 4) to 6) pick some random samples from IMDB.
Please note:
It is difficult to define acceptance criteria for art work like HTML screen design because it is very much a matter of personal taste.
Therefore we will probably choose two or three developers who will start with implementation of 1). We will then pick one provider and continue with 2) to 6).
Your bid is for 1) to 6), please also state an amount for 1) only (you will get paid in case we do not want to continue cooperation).
